Founded in May 2011, Whisked! is a DC-based bakery that specializes in sweet and savory pies, cookies, and bar cookies. Whisked! sells online through our store, and at the 14th & U and Bloomingdale Farmers’ markets during the market season (May to November). Our passion for baking and our commitment to excellence shows in everything we do - from the perfectly flaky and golden brown crusts of our sweet and savory pies, to the just right amount of salt on our salty oatmeal cookies. We make everything from scratch and use fresh ingredients to create baked goods that will delight your family and friends, and indulge your sweet tooth.
Whisked! is owned and operated by Jenna Huntsberger, a food blogger who left her full-time nonprofit communications job in 2009 to pursue her love of baking. Whisked! also produces desserts for Spilled Milk Catering, a DC-area catering company that specializes in delicious, unfussy food. Before starting Whisked!, Jenna was the Baking Manager at Treet, an online bakery, where she baked pastries from scratch, oversaw the daily production schedule, and managed other bakers in the kitchen. Jenna created the very popular baking blog Modern Domestic, where she wrote about baking, pastry, dessert, and the DC sweets scene.
